Top 10 NWHL Jersey and Shirsey Sales Announced

April 12, 2017 - National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) News Release

Brooklyn, NY - The National Women's Hockey League today released the list of the top ten players in jersey and shirsey sales during the 2016-17 season.

In addition to being the only women's hockey league in North America that pays its players, the NWHL gives 15 percent of the sales of each jersey and shirsey sold directly to the player whose name in on the piece of apparel. Commissioner Dani Rylan announced today that this arrangement will remain in place for Season 3.

This season's top ten includes eight different players from last year's apparel sales list, and is topped by a player who participated in her first NWHL season in 2016-17. Five of the ten players were members of Team USA that won the gold medal earlier this month at the IIHF World Championship.

The Top Ten in jersey and shirsey sales between Aug. 1, 2016 - March 31, 2017:

Amanda Kessel, New York Riveters

Hilary Knight, Boston Pride (2nd in sales last season)

Harrison Browne, Buffalo Beauts

Ashley Johnston, New York Riveters (7th in sales last season)
