PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers will play their third straight game at home when the team plays host to the Philadelphia Union on Saturday, Aug. 4. Beginning at 8 p.m. (Pacific), Saturday's match will be broadcast live on FOX 12 PLUS (KPDX) with local radio broadcasts on 750 AM/102.9 FM The Game (English) and La GranD 1150 AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).

Recent form

Heading into this weekend's game, the Timbers (9-3-7, 31pts) have not suffered a loss in league play since April 8, producing a 14-game unbeaten run during that stretch. Portland's 14-game unbeaten run over the span of three months is the longest active streak in MLS and the longest in the league in 2018. The Timbers set a club record for consecutive games without a loss in the 2013 campaign, producing a 15-game unbeaten streak. Most recently, the Timbers defeated the Houston Dynamo 2-1 at home on July 28 behind goals from midfielder Sebastián Blanco and forward Fanendo Adi.

Home form

Entering Saturday's match, the Timbers are unbeaten in their last 15 games played at Providence Park, dating back to Aug. 6, 2017. During that stretch, Portland has produced a 12-0-3 record at home. The Timbers' 12 home wins during that stretch ranks tied as the third-most in the league.

Facing Philadelphia

Saturday's game marks the ninth regular-season match between the Timbers and the Union since 2011. While facing the Union at Providence Park, Portland remains unbeaten at home, holding a 3-0-1 record. Entering the game, the Timbers have won the last two matches in the head-to-head regular-season series, most recently taking a 3-1 win at Talen Energy Stadium on April 8, 2017.

Scouting Philadelphia

Philadelphia (8-10-3, 27pts) enters Saturday's match with three wins in its last four games across all competitions. Most recently, the Union are coming off a 3-1 away win over the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium on July 25. While playing away from home, Philadelphia has produced a 3-6-1 record in 10 matches played. Forward Cory Burke and midfielder Borek Dockal rank tied for the most goals on the team (5).

Following Saturday's match, the Timbers will conclude their four-game homestand when the team plays host to Cascadia-rival Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Providence Park on Saturday, Aug. 11. Beginning at 8 p.m. (Pacific), the Aug. 11 match will be broadcast live on ROOT SPORTS with local radio broadcasts on 750 AM/102.9 FM The Game (English) and La GranD 1150 AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).
