Portland Timbers News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers today announced that the club has sold out of its increased allotment of season tickets for the 2013 Major League Soccer season, now capping season ticket sales at 15,250 seats.
Having surpassed a 96 percent renewal rate this year, the Timbers raised the number of season tickets available by 500 seats to help meet increased demand going into their third MLS season. In 2012, the number of season tickets available at JELD-WEN Field was capped at 14,750.
In two seasons, the Timbers have sold out each of their 34 league games and currently have a Season Ticket Waiting List that numbers over 6,500 fans. As a result of the increased ticket allotment, a number of seats were made available in priority order to those on the Season Ticket Waiting List. In addition, a lottery was held for existing ticket holders to purchase a limited number of additional seats.
Fans interested in joining the Timbers' Season Ticket Waiting List can contact a Timbers ticket representative at (503) 553-5555 or by email at ticketsales@portlandtimbers.com. With a $50 per-seat refundable deposit to join the waiting list, fans can secure the chance to purchase season tickets when they become available, have priority for additional ticket plans released by the club and have access to special pre-sale and discount opportunities, among other benefits.
