April 12, 2006 - Buffalo plated two runs in the 8th and 9h innings to break open a scoreless tie, as the Tides fell 4-1 Wednesday night from Harbor Park.
With one out in the 8th inning, Tides reliever Tim LaVigne (0-1) hit Buffalo shortstop Jose Flores with a pitch, and catcher Einar Diaz followed with a home run just inside the left field foul pole to give the Bisons a 2-0 lead.
Norfolk mounted a brief rally in the bottom of the 8th inning, as Lastings Milledge and Jeff Keppinger led off the inning by drawing walks and were moved up a base on a sacrifice bunt by Chris Basak. Milledge came into score on an RBI groundout by Chase Lambin, but Keppinger was stranded at third as Julio Ramirez was retired on a groundout off of Buffalo reliever Andrew Brown (2-0).
