April 16, 2018 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) - Minnesota Lynx News Release
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced that tickets for Verizon WNBA All-Star 2018 are on sale now. The team also revealed the 2018 WNBA All-Star logo, which can be downloaded here.
The WNBA All-Star logo was created with a focus on the state of Minnesota as a whole, showcasing the outdoors during summertime in the trees and the swooping lines, which are meant to mimic the mighty Mississippi River. The logo also incorporates a nod to the home team, with the Lynx Aurora Green North Star included in the design.
This will be the first time the Twin Cities and the Minnesota Lynx have hosted the game, which will take place in the newly renovated Target Center on Saturday, July 28 with tip-off set for 2:30 p.m. CT. Tickets are on sale now at www.lynxbasketball.com or by calling 612-673-8400.
Further details around in-game entertainment and the full schedule of events will be announced at a later date.
The current Minnesota Lynx roster features seven All-Stars, led by Seimone Augustus who has been selected seven times including the last five games. In the 2017 All-Star Game in Seattle, Maya Moore took home MVP honors for the second straight All-Star Game as she finished with a game-high 23 points, five rebounds and three assists. In last year's midseason showcase, Minnesota featured a game-high four players (Augustus, Rebekkah Brunson, Sylvia Fowles and Moore) for the third time in team history.
