Thursday is Season Ticket Pick up Day

Brandon, MB. -- The Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings would like to remind fans that Thursday, September 5th is "Season Ticket Pick-up Day" at the Keystone Centre.

2013-14 Season Ticket holders are encouraged to stop by the Tent, located in the southwest part of the Keystone Centre Parking Lot, to pick up their new tickets for the upcoming season.

Wheat Kings staff will be on hand between 10am - 6pm and with every season ticket, western Manitoba hockey fans will receive a 2013-14 Wheat Kings Rewards Card which features valuable discounts at twelve participating sponsors such as Grower Direct, Wendys, Applebees, Great Canadian Oil Change, The Pita Pit, River City Cigar, Wok Box, Humpty's, Domino's Pizza, Fabutan, Qdoba Mexican Grill and The Dock on Princess.

In addition to picking up their tickets, fans will have a chance to enter to win some great prizes including an autographed framed photo of Wheat Kings' Captain and New York Islanders' first round draft choice Ryan Pulock.

There will be food, refreshments and the 94.7 Star FM Special Events van in attendance.

Fans needing more information on Season Tickets, their affordability and outstanding value, are also asked to stop by and check out the "great seats" currently available for the 2013-14 campaign. Those that do will be entered into the Wheat Kings 20 in 20 Prize Contest Giveaway that will run through the eve of this year's Brandon Sun Home Opener.

At $425, Adult Season Tickets are the most affordable in the Canadian Hockey League and fans are saving close to 40% off the regular box office admission price.

With just over two weeks remaining before the curtain goes up on the Wheat Kings new season, the WHL club has sold about 1,900 season tickets, which is well short of last year's total of over 2,500.

Brandon kicks off its 4-game pre-season schedule on Friday night against the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors. Puck drop is at 7:30 pm. Tickets to both pre-season games are on sale now at the Keystone Centre box office or online at keystonecentre.com
