ThunderBolts event huge success at Cleghorn’s

December 13, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL) - Lakeland ThunderBolts News Release

LAKELAND, Fla. – The Lakeland ThunderBolts players, dance team, owners, coaches, and fans had the pleasure of attending a meet-and-greet at Cleghorn’s Social Club on Thursday, December 9th. They had the opportunity to converse with some of Polk County’s most prominent citizens, discussing topics such as the NIFL’s Sports For Education Program as well as plans for the upcoming season. Two very special guests were in attendance: Carolyn Shiver, the President of the NIFL, was on hand to answer questions about the league, and Marcus Dupree, former Oklahoma All-American and NFL player, shared his experiences with those in attendance. Also, Mayor Buddy Fletcher stopped in to show his support of the ThunderBolts.

The team would like to thank Tom Lanci for hosting the evening at Cleghorn’s. Also, sincere appreciation goes to Bill Watts of Watts For Dinner for the wine and to Angel’s Bar and Grill for the delicious food and soft drinks. E’lon Photography was also on hand to photograph the evening. Again, thanks to all for making this a successful event!
