Three Thorns FC Matches to Feature in NWSLGame of the Week on ESPNEWS

PORTLAND, Ore. - The National Women's Soccer League today announced that ESPN will broadcast six NWSL Games of the Week on ESPNEWS throughout the remainder of the season, replacing the previously scheduled games on Lifetime. Three Thorns FC matches will now be broadcast on ESPNEWS, while the club's regular-season finale against Seattle Reign FC on Sept. 7 will be broadcast on Lifetime at 7 p.m. (Pacific).

Thorns FC's road match against the Chicago Red Stars on June 16 and the club's home match on Aug. 18 against Chicago both will be broadcast on ESPNEWS, with a 5 p.m. (Pacific) kick for June 16 (previously 12:30 p.m.) and a 7:30 p.m. (Pacific) kick for the Aug. 18 game at Providence Park (previously 12:30 p.m.).

Portland's road match against the Washington Spirit on Aug. 25 will be broadcast on ESPNEWS and has been moved to 4:30 p.m. (Pacific), in a game previously scheduled for 4 p.m.

Thorns FC's home match against Seattle on Sept. 7 has been moved up 30 minutes to 7 p.m. (Pacific) and now will air on Lifetime.

Prior to all the games on ESPNEWS and the Sept. 7 game on Lifetime, the NWSL will host a 20-minute pregame show highlighting coverage of all the latest news and analysis live on the league's Twitter, Facebook and YouTube pages.

NWSL fans will also be able to stream the games live via the ESPN app, with authentication required in the United States, while international fans will be able to watch games on the NWSL app and NWSLsoccer.com.
