Three Key Contributors Re-Signed by Rattlers for 2021 IFL Season

PHOENIX - The six-time World Champion Arizona Rattlers announced the re-signing of three key contributors to the team on Thursday afternoon. Among those re-signed by the Rattlers were 2018 first-team All-IFL defensive lineman Josh Gordon, three-time consecutive first-team All-IFL offensive lineman Lamar Mady and 2019 IFL Most Improved Player wide receiver Jarrod Harrington.

DL Josh Gordon (6'1, 250, Minnesota State-Mankato) returns for his third season with the Rattlers. He has 17.5 sacks, 30.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 31 games with the Rattlers over the last three seasons. Gordon was named to the 2018 All-IFL first-team.

Gordon played four years at Minnesota State University, Mankato and finished his collegiate career as the program's all-time leader in sacks (43) and tackles for loss (63). He was a two-time NSIC Defensive Player of the Year and was named first-team All-NSIC and All-NSIC Academic Team in his senior year.

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin native played high school football at Wisconsin Lutheran, where he was a two-year starter and letterwinner.

OL Lamar Mady (6-foot-2, 315, Youngstown State) has been with the Rattlers since 2016 and was an integral part of the team's success in 2019, both in rushing and pass protection. He has earned first-team All-IFL Honors in three straight seasons (2017-2019). In 2019, the team led the league in rushing, averaging 118.4 yards per game. The Rattlers offensive line also allowed the fewest sacks in the league with four.

Mady spent time with the National Football League's (NFL) Oakland Raiders, where he played in seven games during the 2013 season, and spent 2013-2015 seasons on the Raiders practice squad.

The 6-foot-2, 315-pounder attended Youngstown State where he played in 22 games during which he did not allow a sack or pressure. Mady transferred from Butler County Community College where he was named first-team All-Jayhawk Conference and first-team All-Region VI.

The Topeka, Kansas native attended Topeka High School where he played both center and defensive tackle. Mady earned first-team All-Centennial League selection during his senior season, and as a junior was a second-team All-Centennial League pick as a center.

WR Jarrod Harrington (5-foot-9, 180, Campbellsville) was named second-team All-IFL in 2019, in addition to being named the IFL's Most Improved Player. One season after Harrington totaled just 12 receptions in 10 games played for the Rattlers, he led the team in 2019 with 696 receiving yards and was second on the team with 14 touchdowns. He also played a significant role on special teams, where he had 574 return yards and returned two kickoffs for touchdowns.

Harrington played college football at Campbellsville University from 2012-2015 and holds six different team records including most catches in a season with 81 in 2015. He was named first-team All-Conference his junior and sophomore seasons and second-team All-NCCAA in 2012. He finished his college career with 2,293 receiving yards and 13 receiving touchdowns and ran for 519 rushing yards and 7 rushing touchdowns. His total all-purpose career yardage was 4,450. In 2013, Harrington was selected to the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame All-Commonwealth Team, and was a two-time All-American.

The Danville, Kentucky native attended Boyle County High School and was a two-time class 4A State champion with a 30-0 record in 2009 and 2010. Harrington was first-team All-Defensive Back in 2011 and was the Defensive Player of the Game in the Kentucky vs. Tennessee All-Star Game.
