The Miami FC Parts Ways with Seven Players

MIAMI  - After a stellar 2017 season the Miami FC has made its first roster moves of the off-season. Miami FC has declined to resign seven players from the 2017 roster, announced the club Thursday afternoon.

The contracts for Jonathan Borrajo, Lovel Palmer, Alessandro Lambrughi, Michel, Brad Rusin, Calvin Rezende and Aaron Dennis expired at the conclusion of the 2017 season and will not be renewed for the 2018 season.

The Miami FC is Miami's only professional soccer team and began playing in the North American Soccer League (NASL) in 2016. The Club won the 2017 NASL Spring Season Championship in just their second year. Co-owned by international entrepreneur Riccardo Silva and world-renowned soccer superstar Paolo Maldini, the club will compete in the U.S. Open Cup and host international tournaments and friendly matches.
