Switchbacks FC's Kharlton Belmar Receives Grenada Call Up

Colorado Springs, CO - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today that forward Kharlton Belmar had been called up to camp to represent the national team of Grenada.

This will be Belmar's third invite to the Grenada National team's camp as they prepare for the 2022 World Cup. Last year, during the 2021 season, Belmar played in four World Cup Qualifiers with Grenada, starting 3 times vs. El Salvador, US Virgin Islander, and Antigua, and making a sub appearance in the match vs. Monserrat.

"It's always an honor to get the call up from the National team," said Belmar. "I'm looking forward to getting back in to camp with the guys, performing well, and hopefully earning a spot in some big Nation League matches later this year!"

The Switchbacks FC have begun training for their 2022 season, and their first match will take place on March 12th, against reigning USL Championship champions Orange County SC. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday February 1st.
