Brevard County Manatees News Release

Just a head's up to Manatees fans...our offices have been undergoing renovations along with the stadium. We have had painters and carpet installers hustling to complete the 4th floor at the stadium and the place is looking awesome. Yesterday our phones were in and out of service, off and on, but now everything should be up and running as we put our offices back together. We apologize for any inconvenience that this caused and understand the frustration of not being able to get thru when some of you called. Our Business Manager, Kelley Wheeler, assures me that we are now 100% operational.

A message from former Manatees Catcher 'Sweet Lou' Palmisano's mother, Denise: Lou's fiancé Katherine, was voted to join the NBA All-Star Game Dance Team as a representative of the Miami Heat. Many of you voted to make that a reality and the Palmisano's send their thanks to Manatees fans everywhere. Congratulations, Katherine, enjoy the experience and we'll be watching you on TV! The Palmisano's send best wishes to the Manatees and Manatees fans this season!

It's that time of year again when Florida residents begin getting the visit from our northern friends and relatives. It's good because it keeps our own travel costs down. But it's a double-edged sword. You know what I'm talking about because they call up and say they're coming to visit you and what it really means is Cousin Eddie and his kin from the National Lampoon 'Vacation' movies are coming to visit Wally-World and the beach, but they don't have a place to crash. You become the 'hotel of choice' for a week or two, but you don't have a bed or place for your guests to crash. Sound familiar? Cringe no more, oh keeper of the hostel, because Cousin Eddie's butt imprint won't be permanently imbedded in your couch if you call Gator Rents. Fans searching for help with home furnishing rentals should waste no time and call Kirk Kaye at (321) 956-3388. Gator Rents is located at 1980 Palm Bay Road NE in Palm Bay. When we have a couple apartments that need furniture, beds, dressers, etc. to outfit our players or intern apartments, Kirk bails us out. When we need help with parties, Kirk bails us out. Gator Rents delivers and picks up on time, is extremely affordable and you never have to worry if you all the cords are present or if you lack electrical knowledge (like me) because the guys at Gator Rents not only deliver but also set up your electronics so you don't have to. I can't program the VCR or whatever it's called now, much less my cell phone and other gizmos, but Gator Rents can do it for me. How reliable is Gator Rents? When the MLB guys come to town for spring training, Gator Rents gets the call. When the best apartment complex in the county, Via Tuscany Luxury Apartments, needs something, they call Gator Rents. When the Manatees players fly in from Arizona after spring training, they call Gator Rents. Florida Gator football fans, you won't find a bigger fan than Kirk Kaye. Gator Rents has everything from electronics to furniture and is the Official Rental Agency of the Brevard County Manatees...trust me, call Kirk at (321) 956-3388 and tell 'em your version of 'Cousin Eddie' is coming to visit and you need help.

Mark Wednesday, April 11th down on your calendar. Our friends at Space Coast Credit Union will sponsor our 2nd Annual Education Day at the Ballpark. Game time is slated for 10:30 am and is the only home special game time that we will have this season. Business leaders that want to score some brownie points with employees can purchase group tickets and shut down the office for a 1/2 day and thank your employees, customers and friends with a special day time game. For group information, call Babs Rogers at (321) 633-9200 x3002. Employers, it's great to send thank you notes and cards on holidays, but see how many of your employers will give you three snaps in a zee formation for taking them out to the ballgame. The game will end around the time a normal lunch hour would and if you feel like Scrooge, hey, you can run 'em back to the office for the afternoon. Bottom line, we can get you group rate tickets and the cost of a few hots dogs and drinks will go miles in the motivation category back in the workplace! That's Wednesday, April 11th, 10:30 in the morning. Gates will open at 9:30 am.
