Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack has named third year forward Nick Suzuki the team's Huron Tractor Player of the Week for the 25th and final week of the 2017-18 Ontario Hockey League Regular Season.

Suzuki entered the team's final three games with 93 points and some combination of seven goals and assists to become Owen Sound's 5th 100 point player in franchise history.

And the Vegas Golden Knights' prospect delivered.

In games against the Flint Firebirds, Windsor Spitfires, and Sarnia Sting, Suzuki tallied six goals and an assist to finish the season with 42 goals and 58 assists to hit the Century Club right on the nose.

Suzuki's seven point week helped earn him the OHL's On The Run Player of the Week award, and also pushed the Attack to earn home ice advantage in their first round Playoff series with the London Knights.

Kicking off the week in Flint, Suzuki scored one goal in the team's 7-1 victory over the Firebirds before exploding for a hat-trick in a 9-2 drubbing of the Windsor Spitfires on Thursday night.

Then, on home ice, Suzuki finished the regular season in style by scoring twice and adding a helper to hit the 100 point mark in the Attack's 9-4 romp over the Sarnia Sting.

Highlights of his impressive week can be found below.

A first round pick of the Attack in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection, Suzuki now has 107 goals and 127 assists for 234 points in 192 career regular season games. His 234 points has him 8th all time in franchise history for points, just 91 back of Bobby Ryan's all time mark of 325.

The London native and his Owen Sound teammates will now turn their attention to the post season and a date with the London Knights in the 1st round.

Western Conference Quarterfinal action kicks off on Thursday, Mar. 22 at 7:00pm at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre with Game 2 of the series going on Saturday, Mar. 24 at 7:30pm, also in Owen Sound.

Season Ticket Holders are reminded that they have until 1:00pm THE BUSINESS DAY PRIOR TO EACH GAME to claim their seats before they are released to the general public for sale.

All tickets for post season games can be purchased at the MacVicar & McComb ReMax Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452.
