Strike Force Sign Donnie Duncan
SAN DIEGO, California - The Strike Force have signed defensive back Donnie Duncan to their 2020 Indoor Football League roster.
Duncan (6-2, 220, University of New Mexico) joins San Diego for his first season as a member of the IFL. Prior to joining the Strike Force, Donnie was a member of the Amarillo Venom of Champions Indoor Football in 2017 where he recorded 10 interceptions and earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors. Joining the back-to-back CIF Champions in the Duke City Gladiators the next two seasons, who have transitioned to the IFL for 2020, Donnie recorded five interceptions in 2018.
"Donnie is an experienced defensive back in the indoor game that consistently put himself in a good position and has a nose for the football," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "We're looking forward to seeing him compete in training camp and help us set the tone early in San Diego."
Prior to his indoor football career, Duncan played his collegiate career at the University of New Mexico where he recorded 55 tackles (44 solo), three pass breakups, and two interceptions. Duncan is a native of Southern California where he graduated from Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, California. In 2009 he was ranked No. 64 athlete by ESPN, being an all-around player for his high school where he competed as a wide receiver, defensive back, quarterback and kick returner starting in various positions throughout his 4-year career. Most notably, as a senior, Duncan led Hamilton to an 11-3 record propelling the team to the their first ever City Sectionals championship in the school's 78-year history.
