Storm Set for Road Battle with Lancers

Ralston, NE. - The Tri-City Storm return to action tonight at Ralston Arena in a matchup against the Omaha Lancers. Tonight's game will be the Storm's fourth of five games in this year's exhibition scheduled. Following tonight's road battle against the Lancers, Tri-City returns home to the Viaero Center for the final game of the preseason. Tickets to tomorrow's game can be purchased online, at the Viaero Center Box Office, or by calling 308-338-8144. Admission to tomorrow's home game is $5 and will be free for all season ticket holders. Puck drop for tonight's road game at Ralston Arena and tomorrow's home game at the Viaero Center is scheduled for 7:05pm.

Tri-City (1-2-0-0) enters the final two games of the preseason following three games played at last weekend's USHL West Preseason Showcase. The Storm posted a come-from-behind overtime victory over the Sioux City Musketeers on Friday night before falling to the Waterloo Black Hawks and Lincoln Stars in back-to-back games. Tyler Kostelecky (2), Gavin Brindley (2), Cole O'Hara (1), Andrew Strathmann (1), Mitchell Miller (1), and Jeremy Wilmer (1) all scored goals in the Storm's games last weekend. Parker Lindauer (2), Victor Czerneckianair (2), Nate Benoit (1), Lleyton Roed (1), Mitchell Miller (1), and Andrew Strathmann (1) all recorded assists. Tri-City currently holds an 18-7-2-0 record in exhibition play under Head Coach Anthony Noreen. One week from today, the Storm will begin play in the 2021-2022 regular season at the 2021 DICK'S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The Storm will face the Dubuque Fighting Saints and the Madison Capitols in the event.

Omaha (1-0-0-1) posted a 5-2 win over the Sioux City Musketeers on Saturday after falling 3-2 in a shootout to the Sioux Falls Stampede at the USHL West Preseason Showcase last weekend at the Tyson Events Center. The Lancers will face the Storm tonight and tomorrow before concluding exhibition play on Saturday against the Sioux City Musketeers. This is the first preseason for the Lancers under newly named Head Coach Chadd Cassidy. Cam Mitchell (1), Alex Bump (1), Daimon Gardner (1), Cade Ahrenholz (1), Anthony Calafiore (1), Tanner Rowe (1), and Luke Strickland (1) have all scored for Omaha through the opening two games of the preseason. Cam Mitchell (1), Alex Bump (1), and Jared Wright (1) have each recorded an assist. Omaha won three of nine regular season games played against the Storm last year. Omaha posted a 30-20-2-1 record and fell in the opening round of the Clark Cup Playoffs.
