Steamers Shaun David named MISL’s Offensive Player of the Week

St. Louis, MO, Feb. 7, 2005 - Steamers forward Shaun David was named MISL’s Offensive Player of the Week for the week of February 1.

David recorded seven points (five goals, two assists) last week, including a five-point (three goals, two assists) performance in an 11-5 win on Wednesday night against Kansas City. He also registered a pair of goals on Saturday night at Baltimore.

The 5-6, 160-pound forward has played 17 games this year, tallying 18 points (11 goals, seven assists), ranking him sixth on the team. He has scored 10 points (eight goals, two assists) in his past five matches. The Steamers acquired David in the third round of the Dallas Sidekicks dispersal draft held in September.

Prior to joining the Steamers, David played the 2003-04 season with the Dallas Sidekicks, collecting 26 points, ranking him sixth on the team. He was named to the 2003-04 MISL All-Rookie Team.
