-SPIKES COMPLETE UPSTATE NEW YORK TOUR TODAY: The State College Spikes finish off a six-night, three-city trip through upstate New York today with the last of two games against the Jamestown Jammers at Russell Diethrick Park. This is the second meeting of the season between the Spikes and Jammers, who are due to meet each other another eight times over the rest of the NYPL slate. The Spikes will play the Auburn Doubledays eight more times as well over that span. State College is 27-34 against Jamestown all-time, with a 14-17 mark at Diethrick Park.

-LAST GAME: Jesus Vasquez collected three hits and finished just a double shy of the cycle, while Luis Heredia and Clario Perez combined to limit the Jamestown Jammers to two early runs and help the State College Spikes to a 5-2 victory on Saturday night at Russell Diethrick Park. Vasquez's sixth-inning homer was his second as a Spike. Heredia earned his third win of the year in the start, and Perez got the save after four shutout frames in which he struck out six.

-HOLMES LOOKS TO FLOURISH AGAIN TODAY: Right-hander Clay Holmes, the 19-year-old who leads the New York-Penn League with a 0.83 ERA, makes his tenth start of the year for the Spikes. Holmes tossed five one-hit, shutout innings against Batavia on Wednesday in his last outing. The Pirates' 2011 ninth-round draft choice did walk five in the effort, but left with the lead before drawing a no-decision. Holmes has not allowed an earned run on the road this year.

-JAMMERS PUT HOPE ON THE MOUND: Right-hander Mason Hope is slated to start for the Jammers today. Hope, the fifth-round draft choice of the Marlins in 2011, has made ten starts for Jamestown in 2012. The Broken Arrow, OK native threw 6 1/3 innings at Auburn last time out, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out three.

-REYES JOINS SPIKES ON REHAB ASSIGNMENT: Left-handed pitcher Jo-Jo Reyes continues to work his way back through the Pirates system on a rehab assignment as he joins the Spikes today in Jamestown. Reyes, a five-year Major League veteran for the Braves, Blue Jays and Orioles, is scheduled to follow Holmes on the mound this afternoon. The southpaw started his year with Triple-A Indianapolis, and most recently pitched for the Rookie-level GCL Pirates in his rehab stint.

-SPIKE MARKS: Catcher Jacob Stallings has been named to the 2012 New York-Penn League All-Star Game, to be played Tuesday at Eastwood Field in Niles, OH, joining Tyler Gaffney and D.J. Crumlich...Stallings's 16 doubles are fifth in the league, three behind leader Chris Serritella of Williamsport...Gaffney upped his on-base percentage on the season to .504 last night
