Stars Blood Drive Set for May 28th
The Lincoln Stars, along with the American Red Cross, are hosting a blood drive at the Ice Box on Friday, May 28th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.!
Last year, Stars staff and fans donated 25 pints of blood, potentially saving 99 lives! Only 35 slots were available at the time, but now, we're looking to hit our goal of 120 donors! Reserve your slot at this link today!
If you register and attempt to donate blood, you will receive this awesome 'Give Blood, Play Hockey' t-shirt (pictured above).
ALSO, all presenting donors will also be entered to win TWO (2) SEASON TICKETS for the 2021-22 season!
And in case you needed any more of an incentive ... We are competing against the Lancers, who are hosting a blood drive in Omaha next month! So, bring your friends, bring your family and snag some shirts after you attempt to donate!
YOU can make a difference and we hope to see you at the Ice Box in late May.
Patients - and their families rallying behind them - are counting on the generosity of blood donors to share their health. If a donor is eligible and feeling well, they can make an appointment today by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, using the Red Cross Blood Donor App or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
The Red Cross is testing all donations for COVID-19 antibodies. Plasma from routine blood and platelet donations test positive for high levels of antibodies may be used as convalescent plasma to meet potential future needs of COVID-19 patients.
Safety is a priority for everyone including the Red Cross. Each Red Cross blood drive and donation center follows the highest standards of safety and infection control during these unique times.
