Stamps Disclose 10 Negotiation-List Players

As part of a league-wide initiative, the Calgary Stampeders are disclosing the names of 10 players on their current negotiation list.

It's the second of two occasions this year a 10-player list is being made public by each CFL club, with the first instance taking place in February.

Teams adding an international or undrafted national player to their negotiation list retain exclusive CFL rights to that player. Players can be added, removed or traded from the list at any time.

Each team's negotiation list can contain up to 45 players.

Here are 10 players currently on the Stampeders' negotiation list:

Jake Browning (quarterback): Browning is in his senior season at the University of Washington as he led the Huskies to the Pac-12 championship and an upcoming Rose Bowl appearance against Ohio State. He has thrown for 11,983 career yards with 94 touchdowns and added 246 rushing yards and 16 scores. Browning was the Pac-12 Conference's offensive player of the year in 2016 after throwing for 3,430 yards and 43 touchdowns.

Chris Durant (offensive lineman): Durant attended training camp with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2018 and spent three weeks on the Washington Redskins' practice squad in September and October. He was a three-time third-team Colonial Athletic Association all-star at the College of William & Mary.

Devin Fuller (receiver): Fuller was a seventh-round selection by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2016 NFL draft and spent the entire 2016 and 2017 seasons on the injured-reserve list. He started his collegiate career at UCLA as a quarterback but converted to receiver during his freshman season. In four seasons with the Bruins, he made 146 catches for 1,322 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Gerald Holmes (running back): Holmes attended training camp with the Seattle Seahawks in 2018. He played 39 games over four seasons at Michigan State and carried the ball 295 times for 1,302 yards and 14 touchdowns and added 29 catches for 220 yards and one score. Holmes spent one week on the Stamps' practice roster in October.

Anthony Johnson (defensive lineman): Johnson has played 22 career NFL games for Miami, New England, the New York Jets and Indianapolis since the start of the 2014 season. In 40 career games at Louisiana State University, Johnson recorded 77 tackles including 22 tackles for loss and as well as seven sacks.

Jake Maier (quarterback): Maier just completed his junior season at the University of California-Davis and was named the Big Sky Conference's offensive player of the year as he threw for 3,931 yards and 34 touchdowns. In two seasons at UC Davis since transferring from Long Beach City College, Maier has thrown for 7,562 yards and 60 touchdowns.

Marcus McMaryion (quarterback): In his senior season at Fresno State in 2018, McMaryion threw for 3,453 yards and 25 touchdowns and rushed for 253 yards and seven scores while earning all-Mountain West Conference honourable mention. He was also a conference honourable mention in 2017. Prior to transferring to Fresno State, McMaryion played at Oregon State for two seasons.

Nick Mullens (quarterback): Mullens is currently the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers and has thrown for 1,479 yards and nine touchdowns in five starts. Collegiately, he starred at Southern Miss and was Conference USA's offensive player of the year in 2015. Over four seasons with the Golden Eagles, he threw for 11,994 yards and 87 touchdowns.

Nick Stevens (quarterback): Stevens is the all-time leader in Colorado State history with 70 touchdown passes and he threw for 8,550 yards during his collegiate career with the Rams. He was named all-Mountain West Conference first team in 2017 after throwing for 3,922 yards and 29 touchdowns during his senior season. Stevens attended NFL rookie camps with Green Bay and Washington before signing with the Denver Broncos in May.

Jaelen Strong (receiver): Strong was selected in the third round by the Houston Texans in the 2015 NFL draft. He played 19 games including three starts over three seasons with Houston, making 28 catches for 292 yards and three touchdowns. He played one game for Jacksonville in 2017 and had three receptions for 38 yards and one touchdown. In two seasons at Arizona State, Strong made 157 catches for 2,287 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was first-team all-Pac-12 in 2014 and second-team in 2013.
