St. Louis Ambush News Release

St. Charles, Missouri - The St. Louis Ambush play a pair of games on the road this weekend when they visit the Tacoma Stars on Friday, January 7 and Sunday, January 9.

On Friday, the Ambush and Stars do battle at 9:35 p.m. CST, followed by Sunday's rematch at 7:05 p.m. CST. Both games are at the accesso ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington.

The Ambush enter the weekend with a 2-4 record after dropping their last two games to Dallas on December 30 and 31. Tacoma takes the field Friday with a 1-1 record. They have not played since December 18, when they defeated the Dallas Sidekicks. This weekend's games are the only two between the Ambush and Stars scheduled for the 2021-22 regular season.

The big change for the Ambush this weekend is on the bench. Head coach Greg Muhr resigned on Wednesday and Co-owner and General Manager Jeff Locker has taken over as interim head coach.

Midfielder Mohamed Ndiaye leads the Ambush in points (11) and assists (eight). Three players are tied for the goal scoring lead. Vadim Cojocov, Ado Jahic and JT Thomas have each scored five times thus far.

Nick Perera and Vinnie Dantas lead the Stars in points (six) and assists (three) in the two games played thus far. Four different players (Perera, Dantas, Jamael Cox and Micheal Ramos) lead in goals with three each.

Following the two-game series in Washington, the Ambush kick off a two-game home stand, welcoming the Kansas City Comets to The Family Arena on Friday, January 14 at 7:35 p.m. CST, followed by a visit from the Chihuaha Savage on Sunday, January 16 at 3:05 p.m. CST.

Tickets are available at the Family Arena box office and at ticketmaster.com. Fans can stay current on all Ambush news by visiting the team's official website, stlambush.com and on social media outlets.
