Sporting KC and Love, Tito's Team up to Support the Victory Project and Other Nonprofits
Sporting Kansas City and Love, Tito's, the philanthropic arm of Tito's Handmade Vodka, announced a new initiative today to directly support the philanthropic efforts of local nonprofit organizations.
Love, Tito's will donate $10,000 annually to The Victory Project, Sporting Kansas City's foundation. In addition, Love, Tito's will also donate $600 for every assist by a Sporting Kansas City player at Children's Mercy Park during the Major League Soccer season toward a total $10,000 contribution shared amongst three Kansas City charities: Great Plains SPCA, Kansas City Community Gardens and Friends In Service of Heroes.
"We are excited and honored to sponsor an organization that has a strong focus on charitable giving just like us," said Michael Calabrese, Field Sales Director at Tito's Handmade Vodka. "This is our first year teaming up with Sporting Kansas City and we look forward to giving back to the community together."
The Love, Tito's sponsorship, which extends through 2024, also includes sponsorship of marquee Sporting Kansas City and Victory Project events, including a title night sponsorship for a Sporting KC home match each season, the Victory Lap 5K, Victory Gala, Sporting Invitational and Pitch Black.
As the philanthropic arm of America's Original Craft Vodka, Love, Tito's supports thousands of nonprofits, with the goal to help make the world a better place by turning spirits into love and goodness. Love, Tito's supports nonprofits in communities across the country and around the world through support for charitable fundraising events, disaster relief efforts, and programs like Love, Tito's Block to Block which aims to reconnect communities one block at a time through community gardens and urban farms. In 2020, Love, Tito's provided more than $10 million in COVID-19 relief donations.
Sporting Kansas City launched A Force for Good campaign this year in which the club teams up with partners - including Mazuma, Children's Mercy, Variety KC, Charlie Hustle and Anheuser-Busch - to serve crucial community needs across the region and raise funds for The Victory Project.
Established in 2013, The Victory Project unites Sporting Kansas City players, staff, fans and sponsors to support children in Kansas City. Through numerous events and initiatives, The Victory Project is dedicated to enhancing and enriching the lives of children battling cancer, providing special experiences and opportunities to children with disabilities and making the sport of soccer more accessible to children with limited financial resources.
