Spokane Signs Forward Connor Gabruch to WHL Agreement

SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Spokane Chiefs announced on Thursday that they have signed forward Connor Gabruch to a WHL Standard Player Agreement. Gabruch was originally listed by the Chiefs in December 2016.
"Connor stood out at our training camp last month as a player who had taken significant steps and proven that he is ready to be a WHL player," said Chiefs general manager Scott Carter. "We're very excited to officially welcome him to the organization and look forward to continuing his development."
A 6-foot-3, 183-pound 17-year-old from Saskatoon, Sask., Gabruch played last season with the Saskatoon Blazers of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League, scoring 14 goals and 16 assists for 30 points in 44 games. He also played one game with the Weyburn Wings of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, scoring a goal.
Gabruch is expected to join the team on Friday. He will wear jersey number 23.
