
Spitfires Sign 2023 U-18 1st Round Pick Evan Hjelholt to an OHL Standard Player Agreement

WINDSOR, ON. - The Windsor Spitfires are proud to announce the signing of Evan Hjelholt (yell-holt) to an OHL scholarship and development agreement.
Hjelholt was selected #18 overall by the Spitfires in the 2023 U-18 OHL draft. Evan hails from Richmond Hill, Ontario. He stands at 6'2 and weighs 200lbs.
Hjelholt played for the Toronto Titans when he was drafted during the 2022-23 season. He played in 36 games and recorded 3 assists on the backend. He is a product of the Richmond Hill Coyotes U16 program.
The Richmond Hill native is excited to be joining the club.
"I am excited to get started and be in the organizations plans." Hjelholt said. "Practicing and playing with the guys will make me better as a person and a player. I am honoured to be a part of this organization."
Bill Bowler spoke on Hjeholt putting pen to paper.
"Evan is a character kid with a high compete level." GM Bill Bowler said. "He has a good active stick and he defends with a purpose. We welcome him to our club."
