CHARLOTTE, NC - SPHL Weekly continues with its second regular-season episode this Wednesday night at 8 PM EDT/7 PM CDT. The 60-minute program will feature league president Jim Combs; Knoxville's Kevin Swider, the all-time leading scorer in the SPHL; defenseman Mark Van Vliet, also from Knoxville and this week's SPHL Player of the Week; forward Brett Needham of the Fayetteville FireAntz; and Mississippi RiverKings head coach Derek Landmesser. The "What's Up in the SP" section also returns to highlight upcoming promotions in SPHL home arenas this weekend.
"We have Brett on the show via popular vote from FireAntz fans on SPHL Forums," said SPHL Weekly show host Dana Barker. "They were given a chance to vote on any Fayetteville player and Brett emerged as the top pick. We will do many more things like that on SPHL Forums throughout the season to encourage fan interaction with the show."
SPHL Weekly is available for listening via SPHL Forums (http://sphlforums.com ), the SPHL league website (http://www.thesphl.com ), as well as the team websites of Augusta, Columbus, and Pensacola. Archived broadcasts are also available via the players at the aforementioned sites.
