Manny Pazos Triple Leads Sox

Everett, WA - The Everett AquaSox (16-16) picked up a win against the Eugene Emeralds (15-17) in game two of the five-game series on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Everett Memorial Stadium.

The Frogs and Emeralds went scoreless through the first two innings with RHP Oliver Jaskie on the mound for Everett.

Jose Santiago relieved Jaskie in the third inning, recording one strikeout. The Frogs sat down the Emeralds in order in the top of the third, 0-0.

Rollie Lacy gave up two lead-off hits in the bottom of the third to Ronald Rosario and Aaron Stroosma. A line drive triple by Manny Pazos scored two runs to give the Sox a 2-0 lead. Greifer Andrade hit a two-out single in the third inning, extending the Frogs lead, 3-0.

Santiago allowed the Emeralds to score one run in the fourth inning with the bases loaded, 3-1. He would finish the inning allowing only two hits.

Both teams went scoreless through the seventh inning as both, Casey Ryan and Santiago allowed one hit through three innings of work. The Sox continued to lead into the eighth inning, 3-1.

David Ellingson recorded one strikeout and didn't allow Eugene to cross home plate when he took over the mound in the eighth inning.

Matt Clancy was called upon in the ninth to relieve Ellingson. He recorded two strikeouts and handed the Emeralds their sixth hitless inning of the night. The Everett AquaSox beat the Eugene Emeralds, 3-1.

The Sox will return to Everett Memorial Stadium tomorrow night, Monday, August 27, 2017 at 7:05 PM to take on the Eugene Emeralds. Group tickets, family outings and ticket packages are available for Monday night's game! For tickets visit AquaSox.com.
