Sixers Down Visalia 3-0 in Ten Innings, Earn Seventh Shutout

Visalia, CA- The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino earned their first extra-inning victory and first against the Visalia Rawhide with a ten-inning, 3-0 victory at Recreation Park. The trio of Matt Ball, Jeremy Beasley and Jonah Wesely combined on the 66ers (23-23) seventh shutout of the season and moved the Sixers alone in first placed in the Cal League's South Division.

Matt Ball opened the game and tossed four no-hit innings for the Sixers allowing just a hit batsman with two down in his final frame and fanning four batters. Jeremy Beasley gave Inland Empire four more frames and was able to work out of jams in the fifth, sixth and seventh frames before tossing a clean eighth; Beasley allowed six hits and a walk in his four innings with four Ks and stranded seven runners on base. Connor Grey gave Visalia (25-21) six shutout innings on the mound allowing just three hits and two walks with two Ks. The clubs were knotted at zeroes until the Sixers broke loose in the tenth. With two on and one out, Jahmai Jones drilled a two-run line drive triple to left giving the 66ers a 2-0 lead. Jo Adell then drilled a Junior Garcia (1-2) offering off the wall in left for a RBI double, his first Cal League hit, and a 3-0 advantage. Jonah Wesely (2-0) finished brought home the 66ers shutout and earned the win tossing the final two innings allowing just a walk. Jones had two hits as did Jack Kruger who stole two bases.
