INDIANAPOLIS - Second-year guard Jennie Simms has been waived by the Indiana Fever, it was announced today by Head Coach and General Manager Pokey Chatman.

Simms joined the Fever late last season as an emergency hardship replacement player, appearing in four games and signing a free agent contract this spring. Indiana's training camp roster remains at 17 players, with Hind Ben Abdelkader, Erlana Larkins and Erica McCall yet to arrive in camp due to overseas obligations. Team rosters must be trimmed to 12 players by May 17.

Entering their 19th WNBA season, the Indiana Fever open the 2018 campaign with Youth Sports Day delivered by Papa John's on Saturday, May 19 (1:00 p.m.) against the Chicago Sky. A WNBA playoff participant in a league-record 12 straight seasons (2005-16) and 13 times since 2002, the Fever have reached at least the conference finals eight times in the past 13 years - including WNBA Finals appearances in 2009 and 2015, and a WNBA championship in 2012. Advance purchase is encouraged for all Fever games as ticket prices increase by $2 for game day purchases at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office. Kids 5 & Under Free: Kids 5 & under are FREE with at least one paying adult in the the Krieg DeVault Club Level. Kids Eat Free: The first 1,000 kids 14 & under receive a FREE hot dog, chips, and Pepsi at every Friday & Saturday home game, applicable to all ticket types. 2-For-1 Tuesdays: Tickets available at half-price for every Tuesday home game.
