Everett Silvertips News Release

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips), defending and two-time Western Conference champions and six time U.S. Division champions of the Western Hockey League, and announced in conjunction with the Western Hockey League that Silvertips goaltender Dustin Wolf has been named Eli Wilson Goaltending WHL Goaltender of the Week, ending Nov. 25.

It's the third WHL weekly honor in Wolf's career, also named nominee for CHL Goaltender of the Week. Wolf earned his first WHL award of this season on Oct. 29.

Wolf helped lead the Silvertips to three victories this past week with a 1.33 goals-against-average, stopping 73 of 77 shots for a .948 save percentage and one shutout as the Silvertips strengthen their lead atop the U.S. Division and WHL's Western Conference (5 points).

His week began Tuesday with a 26-save shutout against the visiting Calgary Hitmen in a 4-0 win, his sixth shutout in 44 career appearances. For his efforts, Wolf was rewarded with first star of the game honors and second star honors of the night in the WHL.

In his second game of the week on Saturday, Wolf stopped 17 of 18 shots to help beat the Kelowna Rockets by a 2-1 score, earning him third star honors for the game. Sunday, Wolf wrapped up his week with a 30-save performance in a 5-3 win against the Portland Winterhawks, avenging a Tips defeat in Portland nine days prior. Wolf also earned an assist in the game.

Overall, opponents went a combined two-for-11 on the power play against Wolf and the Silvertips this week.

Wolf has played a strong role in the Silvertips remaining at the top of the conference after last year's trip to the Rogers 2018 WHL Championship Series. In 26 games this season, Wolf is sporting a 18-7-1-0 record, 1.88 GAA, 0.924 SV% and two shutouts. He ranks second in WHL victories, is tied for second in shutouts, while also ranking third in GAA, and fourth in SV%.

Overall, the 5-foot-11, 160-pound product of Tustin, Calif. is 31-13-1-0 in his WHL career, and is tied with Kent Simpson and Thomas Heemskerk for fifth in Silvertips all-time history with six shutouts, maintaining a 2.04 GAA, and a .926 SV%. He has 18 career games of allowing one goal or less.

NHL Central Scouting gave Wolf a 'C' rating on their updated 'Players to Watch' Rankings earlier this month.

Wolf and the Tips return home and open a four-game homestand, completing the "home-and-home" series with the Winterhawks on Wednesday, 7:05pm (1380 AM / 95.3 FM / Tips App / WHL Live) in downtown Everett. Tickets are on sale at www.everettsilvertips.com/tickets.
