
Sidewinders Lose Sixth Sraight Game

Tucson Sidewinders News Release
The Tucson Sidewinders lost their sixth straight game 4-2 to the Tacoma Rainiers on Saturday. Greg Swindell made his first start since 1997 and threw 4 solid innings giving up only 2 runs on 6 hits while striking out 2. Lee Marshall pitched two scoreless innings, at one point retiring 5 batters in a row, before giving up 2 runs in the 7th inning to take the loss.
The Sidewinders offense was once again powered by Rod Barajas who is with the team on a Major League Rehabilitation Assignment, along with Alex Cintron and Mark Little. Barajas went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Cintron had 1 hit in 2 at bat's to accompany 2 walks, a run and an RBI. Little went 2 for 3 in the game.
The final game of the series will come Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm with Sidewinders hurler Mike Gosling (0-3, 7.45) looking for his first AAA win against Tacoma starter Ken Cloude (0-1, 3.79).
