Shutout Hunger with the Sault Greyhounds
The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club is excited to join the local community in their support of local food banks and soup kitchens to help put food on the shelves.
Effective immediately, the organization is putting out a call to fans of the club to get involved.
Those attending Greyhounds games in the month of October through to, and including November 1st, 4th and 5th, are encouraged to bring in a non-perishable food item(s) and receive a discounted rate on their Greyhounds game ticket purchase.
(Up to 4 discounted tickets per transaction. No specific amounts of items required for donation)
Donations can be brought to the SK Group Box Office (Essar Centre), at which time you will receive a $1.50 per ticket discount.
Adult tickets would then be priced at $21.50, Senior/Student tickets $18.00 and Children tickets $10.50, all including tax.

Those who already have tickets, or the general public are encouraged to take part in this initiative as well and support the Shutout Hunger initiative. All contributions accepted and greatly welcomed.
Some priority items for the local food banks / soup kitchens include:
Crackers, Pasta and Pasta Sauce, Canned Fruit, Canned Tomatos, Canned Vegetables, Canned Milk/Powdered Milk, Boxed Potatoes, Soup, Cereal & Oatmeal, Canned Tuna, Tuna/Hamburger Helper, Sidekicks, Granola Bars, Pancake Mix, Sugar, Juice Boxes or Canned Juice, Perked or, Instant Coffee/Tea, Baby Food, Peanut Butter & Jams and Toilet Paper.
