Senators Annual FanFest Set for March 23

Harrisburg, PA - The Senators open the gates to Metro Bank Park for the first time this year on Saturday, March 23 for their annual FanFest. This year the FanFest is loaded with activities for fans of all ages. The FanFest is free and runs from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and there is no charge for parking.

Most of the ballpark will be open and available to fans including the Faulkner Honda Kids Zone, the Senators team store, the clubhouses which are available during tours and more. Lucky fans attending have an opportunity to win a Nationals game experience, which includes tickets and watching batting practice from the field!

The Senators are sporting new uniforms this year and the fans attending the FanFest will be the first to see them! Fans will also be able to take a few swings in the same batting cages that Bryce Harper, Danny Espinosa, and all the other Senators have used the past several seasons. Another new item to the FanFest this year, fans will have the opportunity to have a photo taken in front of a Senators locker, complete with jerseys hanging in the locker!

Listed below is a schedule of events:

- 10:30: Easter Egg Hunt (first 100 kids) 13 and under

- 10:30, 11:30 & 12:30: Tours of the ballpark

- 11:00 to Noon: Batting Cages

- 11:15, 11:45 & 12:15: Rascal Book Reading

- 12:00 to 1:00: Locker Room Photos

The Senators Team Store will be open during FanFest as well. This is the fans' first opportunity to see many of the new 2013 items. The Senators box office will also be open beginning at 10 a.m. and closing at 2 p.m., giving fans a chance to purchase tickets to any game during the 2013 season.

The 2013 season and home opener is Thursday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m. against the Bowie Baysox. The home opener includes a Jordan Zimmermann Bobblehead giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, a post-game fireworks show, it's a Thirsty Thursday, and the Senators are even giving away a kitchen sink!
