OUT WEST: The Sea Dogs and Erie SeaWolves (Tigers affiliate) continue their three-game series on Wednesday night at Jerry Uht Park...Portland has dropped eight of 10 and have lost four straight on the road (season-high)...Erie snapped a six-game losing streak last night and leads the Western Division by one game...Lefty Drake Britton makes his first career start against Erie...Righty Warwick Saupold (4-1, 2.42) is second in the Eastern League in ERA and makes his first career start against the 'Dogs.

TOUGH ENDING TO A LONG NIGHT: Daniel Fields delivered an RBI single with two outs in the 12th inning, giving the SeaWolves an 8-7 walk-off win over the Sea Dogs in the series opener...Trailing 7-4, Portland tied the game in the eight inning on a two-run triple by Shannon Wilkerson (4-for-5), who then scored on a wild pitch...Justin Souza (4-1) pitched a perfect 12th for the win...Miguel Celestino (1-3) suffered his second straight loss, yielding an unearned run over 2/3 in the 12th...Xander Bogaerts went 2-for-4 and reached base safely in his first 4 plate appearances.
