
Scorpions FC to Hold First Workout

WHO: San Antonio Scorpions FC Head Coach Tim Hankinson, assistant coaches and 18 players from six countries, many with Major League Soccer (MLS) experience.
WHAT: First workout for San Antonio's new pro soccer team that will begin play this spring in the North American Soccer League (NASL), one step removed from MLS. Before the NASL season begins April 7, the Scorpions will gain valuable experience in exhibition games, the first set for Friday, Feb. 24, in Frisco, Texas, against the U. S. Under-23 Men's National Team.
WHEN: 9-10:30 a.m. and 3-4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012.
WHERE: STAR (South Texas Area Regional) Soccer Complex, 5103 David Edwards Drive in Northeast San Antonio (near the intersection of Thousand Oaks Drive and Wurzbach Parkway) next to Morgan's Wonderland.
