Sarah Sahanation Named Peterborough Petes Local Minor Hockey Volunteer of the Week

(Peterborough, ON) - Manager of the U-15 Tier 1 Ice Kats, Sarah Sahanation, with the Peterborough Girls Hockey Association is recognized as this week's exceptional minor hockey volunteer. The Petes want to celebrate local minor hockey volunteers for their contribution to the planning, organizing and execution of local minor hockey's return to the play this season.

Sahanation is described as being a perfect team manager who effectively communicates all schedule updates and COVID-19 safety protocols with players and parents.

"Sarah is very involved as our team manager, and is excellent at keeping all of the parents and hockey players on track by giving us reminders," says May Anne Jordens-LaFlamme who nominated Sahanation. "We are so grateful to have her as our manager."

Each week the Petes will recognize and celebrate one volunteer from the PMHC , PHA , PGHA, and local adaptive hockey organizations for their additional time and effort to ensure a safe return to hockey this season.

The Petes welcome players, parents and other members of the minor hockey community to nominate deserving local volunteers by filling out this form .
