San Jose Giants Gigante Trick-Or-Treat Contest

San Jose, CA - The San Jose Giants announced today their 2017 Gigante Trick-or-Treat Contest. On October 31, one lucky kid will have the opportunity to walk their neighborhood alongside the San Jose Giants mascot, Gigante. This year's contest consists of a pumpkin-carving showcase with the winner being selected through the organization's social media pages (Like the San Jose Giants on Facebook, follow @SJGiants on Twitter and Instagram)

"This is truly the ultimate Halloween contest for young fans of the Giants," said San Jose Giants Marketing and Media Relations Manager, Jeff Black. "Your child can trick-or-treat like never before and be the talk of the town when Gigante joins him or her for some giant Halloween fun!"

Kids ages 4 through 12 are invited to enter this exciting contest. Fans wishing to participate should submit a picture of their child holding their San Jose Giants carved pumpkin on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Click here to download and print several San Jose Giants pumpkin stencils. On Facebook, fans should post their photos to the San Jose Giants wall and be sure to tag @SJGiants when sharing on Twitter and Instagram. The organization will create a photo album of select artistic submissions, so fans are encouraged to have fun and be creative! Parental supervision is highly recommended. Deadline for entry is Wednesday, October 25.

Once the winner has been selected, he or she will be contacted no later than Friday, October 27 and will have the opportunity to go trick-or-treating with Gigante on Halloween for a one-hour window between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
