Rampage Extend Home Point Streak to Season-Best Seven Games
SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage (19-12-2-0) closed out 2017 with two unanswered goals in the final 92 seconds to defeat the San Diego Gulls (15-13-1-0) 2-1 on Sunday at the AT&T Center. Defenseman David Warsofsky recorded the game-winning goal at 19:59 of the third period to complete the Rampage comeback.
San Diego got on the board first in the opening frame when Keaton Thompson delivered a pass to the waiting stick of Corey Tropp who fired a one-timer from the blue line and into the back of the net at 17:33.
After more than 40 minutes of scoreless action, San Antonio, with an empty net, tied the game at 18:28 of the final stanza when A.J. Greer made a backdoor pass to an open Chris Butler who went top shelf on netminder Reto Berra. Warsofsky gave San Antonio the lead for good when he recovered a loose puck and fired a shot from the right circle over Berra's left shoulder with 0.2 seconds remaining in regulation.
