KEIZER, ORE. - The Everett AquaSox stranded 11 base-runners en route to a 3-1 loss to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes Tuesday night in Keizer, Ore. The Sox (39-29), drop to a two-game lead in the West Division of the Northwest League over the Volcanoes (37-31) and the Eugene Emeralds (37-31) who lost to the Vancouver Canadians Tuesday night.

Unable to capitalize on eight base hits, the AquaSox squandered scoring opportunities and left 11 men on base in the game.

Matt Hagen scored the only run for the Sox in the second inning when Dominic Woody hit into a fielder's choice that brought Hagen home from third. Hagen led off the inning with a single. Woody went 2 for 4 with an RBI.

Everett starter Rich Dorman set down 11 consecutive batters at one point during his 4 and 2/3 innings of work. He struck out six and gave up just one run.

Fred Lewis and Aaron Sobieraj both had RBI singles for Salem-Keizer.

Everett and Salem-Keizer continue the series in Keizer, Ore., on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
