LAST GAME RECAP: Richmond took the middle game from Binghamton, 5-1, Wednesday night at The Diamond. The Flying Squirrels never trailed, scoring one run in five different frames. Harol Gonzalez suffered his fifth loss in as many Eastern League starts.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Mickey Jannis makes his 19th Eastern League start of the season and first against Richmond. The knuckleballer has tossed at least seven innings in back-to-back starts, snapping a stretch of three consecutive losing outings. He's gone at least six innings in five straight starts, earning a decision in seven in a row until his last start against Hartford on August 2.

PONY PITCHING: The Rumble Ponies pitching staff snapped a streak of seven straight games allowing two or fewer runs. Binghamton last allowed more than two runs on July 31.

HITTING THE SKIDS: Binghamton collected four hits on Wednesday and failed to have any player put up a multi-hit performance. It's the Rumble Ponies fewest number of hits in a nine-inning game since July 24 at Bowie (7-3 win).

MICKEY MAKES HIS MARK: RHP Mickey Jannis is slated to make his 65th career Binghamton start. Mark Cohoon holds the franchise record with 66 career starts from 2010-2013. Jannis owns 18 career victories at Double-A, putting him tied for ninth on the franchise's career rankings.

HIT PARADE: The Rumble Ponies allowed 10 hits on Wednesday for the first time in ten games. Binghamton coughed up at least 10 hits five times in the seven games prior to the 10-game stretch.

GO TO YOUR HOME: Binghamton stranded eight runners and went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position Wednesday. In the series, they've stranded 17 baserunners, going 3-for-20 with runners in scoring position.

MULTI-HIT MUTED: No Rumble Pony had more than one hit Wednesday for the first time since July 24, a 13-game stretch.

RUMBLE RELIEVERS: After going seven straight games without allowing a run, the Binghamton bullpen has allowed at least one tally in three consecutive contests. Over their last 11.0 innings, they've allowed four runs on nine hits, with six walks.

SEASON SERIES: Binghamton and Richmond conclude their regular season series on Thursday. The Flying Squirrels hold a three games to two advantage.

UP NEXT: The Rumble Ponies continue their weeklong road trip by playing the series-opener at Reading on Friday evening. This marks Binghamton's only trip to the Fightin Phils in the 2018 regular season. First pitch at FirstEnergy Stadium is scheduled for 7:15 PM.
