Roughnecks Extend Winning Streak to Three

Denver, CO - The Calgary Roughnecks pressed in the second half, adding six goals to overcome the Colorado Mammoth 11-8 Sunday afternoon at the Pepsi Center.

Rhys Duch (4g, 2a) had a first-star performance for Calgary, which has been victorious in three straight contests, recording a game-leading six points.

Dan Taylor (2g, 2a), Chris Boushy (1g, 2a) and Riley Loewen (1g, 2a) also found the back of the net while Zach Currier (1g, 2a) and Ryan Martel (1g, 1a) netted their first goals of the season and rookie Shane Simpson (1g, 2a) recorded his first NLL career goal.

Goaltender Christian Del Bianco picked up his third win with a 40-save effort while Dillon Ward stopped 29 shots for the home team.

Ryan Benesch led the Mammoth with a pair of goals and an assist while six others from Colorado tallied goals in the loss.

The Roughnecks next see action on Saturday, Jan. 12 when they welcome the New England Black Wolves to the Scotiabank Saddledome at 7:00 p.m. MST. Watch the Dueling Piano Kings perform live during the half-time show and again in the Chrysler Club post-game. Also, the Grey Cup will be in the Rough House with photo opportunities on the concourse.
