SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm have signed two diverse threats for the 2018 season. Wide receiver Sterling DuBose and running back Lyle McCombs look to make a huge impact on the upcoming season.
DuBose (6'2, 215lbs) is entering his rookie year in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Sterling played in 32 games at San Diego State University where he recorded 111 receptions for 3,259 yards, 10 touchdowns. He also had 42 tackles, four forced fumbles and nine interceptions.
McCombs (5'8, 195lbs) spent the 2017 season with the Nebraska Danger of the IFL. While with the Danger, Lyle accumulated 466 yards and eight touchdowns helping him earn offensive player of the week during week 4. He played his collegiate career at the University of Connecticut where he tallied 2,681 yards and 11 touchdowns. McCombs was a preseason Doak Walker Award candidate during his senior year and a Freshman All-American .
Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs stated "Diversity! Sterling and Lyle are diverse players that can do many things and do many things very well. They are very good fits in our system and we are excited to watch them add some athleticism to our roster."
