Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations, Don McKee, descries the recruiting season as "putting together the pieces of a puzzle" that will be this season's Jackalopes hockey club.
To find the latest "piece in the puzzle," McKee has turned to Canada's capital city, signing rookie centerman WAYNE HALL from the University of Ottawa.
"Wayne will be a super utility player for us," McKee said. "He's a smooth, hard-working, intelligent player and we'll at his skills to work in a variety of roles."
Hall (6-00, 195), played four seasons (1999-2003) for the University of Ottawa, leading the Gee Gees in scoring in two of those seasons.
"Wayne is a left-shot centerman who can also play both wings," McKee said. "He's a well-balanced player, as well, meaning he contributes both offensively and defensively."
"In addition to being one of his team's leading scorers, he consistently drew the assignment of playing against the best players on the opposing team," McKee added. "That says a great deal about how complete a player he is and what he can bring to our club."
Hall's signing brings to 16 the total number of players under contract with the Jackalopes. He is also the fifth rookie signed for the upcoming season.
