Carew, the 1977 American League MVP, lined, chopped and bunted his way to 3,053 career hits. His seven batting titles are surpassed only by Ty Cobb, Tony Gwynn and Honus Wagner, and equaled only by Rogers Hornsby and Stan Musial. He used a variety of batting stances to hit over .300 in 15 consecutive seasons with the Twins and Angels, achieving a .328 lifetime average. In addition to his MVP season, Carew was honored as American League Rookie of the Year in 1967 and named to 18 straight All-Star teams. He was inducted into the Twins Hall of Fame in 2000.

"At Canandaigua National Bank and Trust, our commitment to the community has been a part of our culture for more than a century," said Frank H. Hamlin, President. "We're proud to team up with Rochester Community Baseball and the Red Wings, to bring Baseball Hall of Famer Rod Carew to Rochester on July 24. Baseball fans from around the area will have the chance to get an autograph from Mr. Carew, whose career accomplishments embodied the finesse of the game of baseball."

Meanwhile, Reed was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection who appeared in four Super Bowls during his 16-year career. Reed is a member of the Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame and he was enshrined on the Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame in 2006. The Allentown, Pa. native ranks 10th in NFL history with 951 career receptions. He also ranks ninth in NFL history with 13,198 receiving yards and 11th with 87 touchdown receptions.

As announced earlier, Gaylord Perry, another member of the 1991 Baseball Hall of Fame class, will sign autographs at Frontier Field on Monday, July 29 during the Wings 7:05 p.m. game against Norfolk.
