Toronto Rock News Release
Toronto - With the Toronto Rock and Boston Blazers set to meet this Friday night at Air Canada Centre, the two teams have gotten together a little early with the Rock sending Ryan Dilks to Boston in exchange for Boston's third round pick in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft. The deal is still pending league approval.
Dilks was selected by the Rock in the 2010 NLL Entry Draft in the 5th round, 50th overall out of the Six Nations Jr A program. After battling through training camp he earned a spot on the practice roster for the 2011 season.
"He was on our practice roster and this is an opportunity for him to play in the league," said Rock GM Terry Sanderson. "It's a good deal for us as well as we get a quality pick in return."
The Rock face the Blazers Friday night at 7:30pm at Air Canada Centre in a matchup of the only two undefeated teams in the NLL through the first two weeks of the season. The game can also be seen live on TSN2.
