ROCHESTER, NY - The Rochester Americans took a 3-0 AHL North Division best-of-seven series lead on Saturday, as they defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 5-1 in Game #4 at Blue Cross Arena.
Jason Pominville led the Amerks offensively on Saturday, as he scored a hat trick in the contest. Chris Taylor netted Rochester's other two goals in the game.
Scoring the Bulldogs lone goal was Eero Somervuori, which was his second of the playoffs.
In goal, Jean-Francois Damphousse stopped 28 of 33 shots he faced in the Bulldogs net. Yann Danis also saw action in the game for Hamilton and made three saves. Ryan Miller picked up his third straight win against the Bulldogs by stopping 28 shots.
On the power play the Bulldogs were 0 for 2, while the Amerks converted once on three opportunities.
The Hamilton Bulldogs will once again face the Rochester Americans at the Blue Cross Arena on Sunday, May 9th in Game #4 of the AHL North Division Final.
