Rochester Continues Road Trip with Visit to Calgary

The Rochester Knighthawks will travel to Calgary for their lone game this season against the Roughnecks on Saturday, February 22nd. The 9:00 p.m. game will be streamed live on The Lacrosse Network's YouTube channel and broadcast live via Sportsradio 950 ESPN and www.sportsradio950espn.com.

Head-to-Head: Rochester leads the all-time series with a 4-3 record. Last season, the Knighthawks edged the Roughnecks 15-14 on April 13th at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Knighthawks Notes: The Knighthawks won for the first time on the road this season, handing the Toronto Rock a 17-9 loss on Saturday at the Air Canada Centre. Rochester improved to 5-2 with the victory. Dan Dawson and Cody Jamieson led the offense with 10 points each in the highest-scoring game of the season for the Knighthawks. Dawson tied his career high with 10 assists and in the process passed the 600-assist plateau. Meanwhile, Jamieson tied his single-game best with five goals and set a new mark with 10 points. With the two Knighthawk forwards combining for 20 points, Rochester erased a 7-5 second-quarter deficit by scoring the game's next 11 goals to pull in front, 16-7. Stephen Keogh tied his single-game high with four goals and reached seven points in a game for the first time in his career. To top it off, he reached 100 points in his career. Joe Walters also had a big night, netting his first career hat trick. Dylan Evans' career night included two assists, a career-high 13 loose balls and 18 faceoff wins. In goal, Matt Vinc allowed only nine goals on 54 shots. Mike Accursi, who played in his third game of the season, moved into a third-place tie on the team's all-time points list (363).

Milestone Watch:

- Scott Self needs four games to reach 200 in his career.

- Ian Llord needs four games to reach 100 in his career.

- Joel McCready is riding a career-high 12-game goal-scoring streak.

- Mike Accursi (363) needs one point to move into sole possession of third place on the team's all-time list.

Knighthawks among NLL leaders: Dan Dawson is fifth in the NLL with 29 assists. Goalie Matt Vinc is second with an 8.27 goals-against average, third in wins with five and fifth with 260 saves. Cody Jamieson is tied for sixth in the league with 40 points, and seventh with 17 goals.

Calgary Notes: The Roughnecks blasted the Vancouver Stealth 20-9 last Saturday to improve to 4-3. Shawn Evans led the way with a 12-point night (4+8), which included his 600th career point. The game marked the first time Calgary has scored 20 goals at home since March 31, 2007. The Roughnecks also got contributions from Dane Dobbie (4+3), Geoff Snider (3+2), Curtis Dickson (3+2), and Jeff Shattler (2+6). Dobbie ranks second in the league with 23 goals. Evans is also among the league leaders, occupying first in the NLL with 37 assists and fourth with 47 points. At the faceoff circle, Geoff Snider is second with 133 wins and first with a .655 winning percentage.

Next Game: The Knighthawks will close out their three-game road trip on Saturday, March 1st with a trip to Denver. The 9:00 p.m. game against the Colorado Mammoth will be streamed live on The Lacrosse Network's YouTube channel and broadcast live via Sportsradio 950 ESPN and www.sportsradio950espn.com.
