Rivermen Release Full Training Camp Roster

Peoria, IL - The Peoria Rivermen have announced the team's complete training camp roster in advance of this morning's first official team practice of the season. The Rivermen will step onto the ice Wednesday morning sporting 13 forwards, eight defensemen, and five goaltenders with several additions and subtractions expected before next Wednesday's 19-man SPHL roster deadline.

Among Peoria's 26-man training camp roster are eight players possessing ECHL experience and nine who spent time in ECHL training camps earlier this month. 10 players on Peoria's training camp roster saw action with the Rivermen last season, while another returner, center Dean Yakura, last played for Peoria during the 2014-15 season.

Included in Peoria's initial training camp roster are forwards Vincent Beaudry, Justin Greenberg, Mike Gurtler, Alec Hagaman, Drake Hunter, Joe Kalisz, Lane King, Chris Magi, Tommy Mahoney, Guillame Naud, Will Smith, Austin Vieth, and Dean Yakura. Additionally, the Rivermen will enter camp rostering defensemen Domenico Argento, Brandon Fehd, Jake Flegel, Ralfs Grinbergs, Jake Hamilton, Ben Oskroba, Brandon Rumble, and Cody Smith, as well as goaltenders Braeden Ostepchuk, Storm Phaneuf, Cody Porter, Mason Pulde, and Aaron Taylor.

The Rivermen also hold SPHL player rights of five players still in camp with ECHL clubs, including forwards Mark Petaccio, Ryan Siiro, and Joseph Widmar, along with defensemen Kevin Patterson and Olivier Schingh-Gomez. Goaltender Greg Dodds is also signed to a tryout deal and is expected to join the team early next week.
