RiverHawks Begin Homestand Tuesday

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks open a six-game homestand at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday when they host the Windy City ThunderBolts.
Tuesday is a Kids Eat Free and Dog Days of Summer Night, sponsored by Thompsons' Transmission and Petco. On each Kids Eat Free Night, children 12 and under receive a hot dog, bag of chips and cookie free of charge, courtesy of Thompsons' Transmission. Fans can also bring their dogs to the ballpark, thanks to Petco.
Wednesday is Metro Medical Services Rocko Bobblehead Giveaway Night and the RiverHawks Idol Semifinals. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a voucher that can be redeemed in the fourth inning for a Rocko Bobblehead, courtesy of Metro Medical Services.
Fans can help the RiverHawks search the Rock River Valley for the next singing superstar with the RiverHawks Idol Semifinals.
Wednesday is also a Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet Youth Clinic Night. Kids are invited to take the field before the game at 5 p.m. with RiverHawks players, courtesy of Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet.
Thursday is $1 beer and soda night, sponsored by RBI's Bar and Grill and Miller Lite. Fans 21 and over can enjoy an ice cold beer for just $1, while everyone can purchase soda for the same low price. Sixteen ounce bottles of beer are available for $2.
The RiverHawks begin a three-game series against the Washington Wild Things at 7:05 p.m. Friday. It is MDA Jersey Off Their Backs Night and Ladies Night. Fans can bid on the RiverHawks' player jerseys throughout the night. The winning bidders will be announced and receive their jerseys immediately after the game, courtesy of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Ladies also get $3 off an $8 ticket.
First pitch for the first four games of the homestand is set for 7:05 p.m. Gates open at 6:05 p.m.
Saturday is Fleece Blanket Giveaway Night, sponsored by Rock Valley College. The first 1,000 fans in attendance receive a RiverHawks fleece blanket, courtesy of Rock Valley College. Saturday's game begins at 6:05 p.m. and gates open at 5:05 p.m.
The homestand concludes at 4:05 p.m. Sunday with Family Fun Day. Children 12 and under can get tickets in any section for just $2. Kids can run the bases after the game and ride the train for free, courtesy of the Illinois Railway Museum, Midwest Railway Junction and Bounce O'Rama. Players will be available for autographs on the concourse after the game.
