CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston RiverDogs are ready for the dog days of summer and are caught in a tractor beam that has them on a collision course back to the Lowcountry. The club will celebrate the start of summer, Star Wars, military heroes, and the tech community during a four-game series that features some of the greatest heroes and villains in the galaxy during an upcoming matchup with the Columbia Fireflies.

Thursday, May 17, 7:05 p.m.: Summer Kickoff/Thirsty Thursday: School's out and the RiverDogs are heating up as the club celebrates the summer season with a Budweiser Thirsty Thursday presented by 95SX. Break out your sandals, shades, and beach towels as you stretch out in the Budweiser Ashley View Pub, featuring dollar brews and the musical stylings of DJ Natty Heavy. Be sure to follow DJ Natty, Southern Eagle, and 95SX on social media for chances to win wristbands that give you access to Club Budweiser -- the VIP experience where you don't wait on line for beer! Fans can also enter for chances to win tickets to the May 25 Salute to Service Concert, featuring Brothers Osborne at The Joe.

Friday, May 18, 7:05 p.m.: Tech Night/Friday Fireworks: Celebrate the 8-bit glory days of yesteryear as the RiverDogs host a night centered around classic arcade games while welcoming in the burgeoning tech community in Charleston. Enjoy a Home Telecom postgame fireworks extravaganza in conjunction with WEZL and Live 5 News set to the tunes of your favorite joystick heroes and the RiverDogs' attempts at two-bit humor. It's also a Red Shirt Friday honoring the military; fans that wear red save a buck at the gate with the option to donate that dollar to the Palmetto Military Support Group.

Saturday, May 19, 6:05 p.m.: Air Force Military Night/Heroes Home Run Derby: The Charleston service members pack the park for the first Military Night of the season presented by Bank of America. Anyone with a military ID will receive up to four complementary tickets at box office. Pre-game, the RiverDogs host the"Run Charlie Run 5K" presented by Fleet Feet Sports, which starts at 4 p.m. and ends with a home plate finish. The RiverDogs will distribute tickets to the Armed Services members of Joint Base Charleston while capping off the evening's festivities with a Military Home Run Derby presented by NASH FM and Fox 24. Active military members will compete for a chance to win $500 for their branch's booster club. There will also be a winners' ceremony for the 5K champions.

Sunday, May 20, 5:05 p.m.: Star Wars Day/Holy City Sunday: It is useless to resist as the Charleston RiverDogs invite their fans to a Sunday homestand finale against Columbia. The RiverDogs welcome the most colorful characters from around the galaxy to interact with fans during the game. As part of an MUSC Health Family Sunday in the Holy City presented by CCPRC, Y102.5 and Lowcountry CW, families enjoy free parking as members of the MUSC Health Kids' Club get in free while all kids eat free, play pregame catch on the field, and run the bases postgame. The City of Charleston employees will pack the park while enjoying a pre-game police vs. firefighters softball game, featuring both the new city chiefs.

RiverDogs single-game tickets, including options to the Riley Park Club, are now available for the 2018 campaign, the club's 25th season as the RiverDogs and their "175th season in dog years."
