RiverDogs Reschedule Shrimp and Grits Food Festival to Sunday, November 11

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston RiverDogs have announced the rescheduling of their upcoming Shrimp and Grits Food Festival presented Charleston Mix to Sunday, November 11, still from 12-3 p.m. at Joe Riley Park. Previously purchased tickets with the former date listed will be still be honored for the rescheduled event.

A variety of local establishments will be on hand to the second annual event supported by Cumulus Media. Participating restaurants include Parson Jacks, Bubba Gump, Morgan Creek Grill and Gillie's Soul Food. All will compete for a People's Choice Award, Judge's Choice Award, and a $500 grand prize for the best shrimp and grits in town. Individuals who think they have the best shrimp and grits can contact the RiverDogs about entering the contest.

Along with a smattering of the local favorite dish, fans will have access to a cash bar including Bloody Marys, Mimosas and live music by the Blue Plantation Band.

Other attractions include a Kid's Zone for younger fans and a Vendor Village featuring a host of local businesses in attendance.

Tickets for the event can purchased for $20 in advance ($25 day-of) at the Riley Park box office or online via rileyparkevents.com and include a shrimp and grits sample with the price of admission. Select VIP tickets that includes oysters and a private VIP area are available for $40.

Coming off the heels of their second straight year eclipsing 300,000 fans through the turnstiles, the RiverDogs have already begun preparations for another year down at The Joe. RiverDogs season tickets, including options to the Riley Park Club, are now available for the 2019 campaign by contacting the RiverDogs front office at 843-577-3647 (DOGS). The RiverDogs begin their home schedule on April 11 when they host the Greensboro Grasshoppers at The Joe, preceded by a weeklong road trip.
