Foxborough, Mass. - New England Revolution forward Taylor Twellman will undergo hernia repair surgery on Friday, Nov. 16. Dr. Ulrike Muschaweck will perform the procedure at Hernienzentrum in Munich, Germany.

With three postseason goals year, the 2005 MLS MVP also helped the Revs return to MLS Cup for the second consecutive season, where they played to a 1-1 draw with Houston before falling in penalty kicks, 4-3 in MLS Cup 2006. Twellman scored the Revs' lone goal in that game, and finished the postseason with a three-game goal-scoring streak. Also during the 2006 season, Twellman became the youngest player to score 75 goals in league history, a feat he accomplished on Oct. 7 with the game-winning goal in a 2-1 Revs victory at D.C. United.
